ILWACO — The Ocean Beach Health Foundation is celebrating a record month of fundraising, bringing in more than $17,000 during September to support Ocean Beach Health’s focus on Women’s and Children’s Health in South Pacific County.
The foundation hosted three successful efforts:
Live Auction at Ilwaco Cider Co. — raised over $12,000
Online Auction — raised over $4,000
Slow Drag Raffle (as Finish Line Sponsor) — raised $900
“These events illustrate the generosity of the community in which we live and Ocean Beach Health serves,” said Sally Macy, president of the Ocean Beach Health Foundation. “They reflect a shared commitment to keeping health care available close to home.”
The Live Auction featured music by Soulful Variations, who donated their fee, with sponsorship from Peninsula Arts Center. Local favorites The Lost Roo, Jack’s and Okie’s provided food, while BOLD assisted with displays.
The foundation said it “extends heartfelt thanks to the many generous donors who made the auctions possible,” including:
Ilwaco Cider Co., Kathryn W. Murdock, Don Nisbett, Sue Swendson, Don Perry, Susan Spence, Penny Treat, Nansen Florals, Nancy Gorshe and Michael Lalewicz, Scott and Megan Mahon, Sally and Jerry Macy, Nanci Main, Jayne Cohen, Oysterville Sea Farms, Sondra Eaton, Mike and Joan Porter, and dozens of businesses and individuals who contributed to the online auction—from Adrift Hospitality and Captain Bob’s Chowder Sisters to Inspired Minds Matter, OBH Auxiliary, Sou’wester Lodge, Tre-Fin Foods, Willapa Heritage Farm, and many more.
