As the hospital continues to expand its academic profile, endowed faculty positions remain a cornerstone of its vision to build a world of wellbeing for all children.
They ensure our talented clinicians, researchers and change makers have the protected time and resources to lead, innovate and teach the next generation. In a competitive academic landscape, they are particularly vital – helping us to recruit and retain the brightest minds in pediatric medicine.
For a nonprofit teaching hospital like Children’s Mercy, endowed positions are so much more than a title. They are transformative investments in our patients, our faculty and the future of pediatric medicine.
“Endowed positions empower our faculty to ask bold questions, explore groundbreaking research and turn discoveries into better care for children. These opportunities wouldn’t be possible without the community champions who believe in advancing pediatric medicine and research and making a lasting impact,” said Jenea Oliver, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Children’s Mercy.
The ceremony also celebrated the generous donors behind each chair. Their enduring support ensures Children’s Mercy remains a center of excellence for children and families across the region.
